2022 Yearly Recap and 2023 Look Ahead

Let’s Celebrate
Taking a moment to look back on how far you’ve come and celebrate wins is so important in a self-love practice. So when we look back on 2022, we realize it has been quite the year for us at FACE! Not only did we have a number of new faces (turned besties) join us in our classes, but we also have had the opportunity to do some really cool stuff for our communities.
In March of this year we took part in our very first FACE public performance, closing out a Women’s Day event held by Stand ASA, a local Calgary organization providing resources for survivors of sexual assault. It was a fantastic event that raised much-needed funds, and we were so humbled to be a part of it. A few months later, Stand ASA asked us back to be part of a social media campaign focusing on consent, where we spent the day with an amazing photographer and the founder of Stand ASA taking photos at the iconic Broken City night club in Calgary. We also had the privilege of performing for an event in Red Deer in support of Dress for Success, Sponsored by the Bra Lounge and Love Yoga Grace.
It makes us so happy that there are so many organizations right here in our home province that resonate with the message of self-love and body positivity. We had the opportunity this year to partner with many of these groups. From delivering a class at a retreat run by In Her Circle, or at a Rest Retreat run by Love Yoga Grace, we are incredibly grateful to have met so many wonderful humans; we truly are experiencing a body love revolution!
The Empire is Growing
The Empire is growing, and we’re so excited to have made such great friends and partnerships along the way. This has meant an increase in the number of classes that we offer; which allowed us to invite another Edmonton Queen to join our empire, Queen L!
But we’re nowhere near done yet. We have some exciting things coming in 2023, and we’re so excited to share them with you!
Join Our Self Love Revolution in 2023!
First, we heard you. We have so many friends that are outside of Alberta, and many more still that have extremely busy lives and live classes just aren’t an option. We want to connect with you, and that is why in January of 2023, we will be launching…
…wait for it…
…an online program! This is no regular session, however. This is a do-on-your-own-time-at-your-own-pace kinda thing. The Virtual Empire will include at least two new tutorial videos per month, warm ups, cool downs, and exclusive access to a closed Facebook group where we can laugh and cheer each other on. We’re launching in January – so join our New Year’s Self Love Revolution! And as one of our key values is accessibility, we can assure you that the cost will be more than reasonable. If you want to get the latest and greatest news, and first access to the Virtual Empire, then signing up for our email list is the way to go!
And then for those who are closer to our home city of Calgary, Alberta, we have some fun things in store for you, too! Starting in February 2023 we will be launching a performance program! This means that 12 weeks after we start, we will be shaking our beautiful curves ON STAGE in a live performance! So fun! And of course, we will keep going with all of our 6-week video sessions, 4-week series, and pop-up classes in Calgary, Edmonton, and Red Deer!

2023 is going to be such a great year, and we can’t wait to dance with you, either in person or virtually! We absolutely love the positivity and light that comes from the members of our community, and we couldn’t do any of this without you. So thank you, and remember…
Drink the water. Do the stretching. Fill your cup with whatever brings you joy. The world is a much better place because you are in it. Go out and SLAY!
